Nice that something is being organized at Easter. These are also times when you can reflect on, you describe suffering. So, in my opinion, just as important as other holidays that are celebrated more extensively. Funny, by the way, that it's in Amstelveen is pretty close to where I live.

I haven't been a believer for a long time and now Easter is just a secular holiday for me. But as a child I grew up in an environment permeated by Catholic traditions and everything had more flavor back then.

Met paaszondag heb ik de maandelijkse activiteit met de Bonsaiclub georganiseerd. Ondanks de wielerklassieker was er behoorlijk wat volk aanwezig.

Interesting! Here in Portugal we also celebrate Easter. Normally the dish is baby gray, but I don't eat that. Then there's a special Sunday mass. And Easter eggs! Catholics reflect and celebrate and the others simply enjoy the family gatherings. 🫠

In the past, we also made palm tree branches and brought them to elderly people in the neighborhood. My connection with the church, and therefore also at Easter, has changed and I am now taking a different path.
