#Ven 🤓 A ven is a small, usually shallow lake that occurs on plaistocene sandy soils. Fens have varying water levels and rarely exceed a few hectares. Under fens, only natural waters are understand.In a very large part of the fens has occurred peat growth. Most likely, very many moors have been small-scale peatlands, which once again became open water. In Drenthe, these puddles are often called 'peats'.
