In Belgium, you have one too.. (Sealife in Blankenberge) I think it's a good initiative. Seals are not overpresent now, I think, which would make nature out of balance.

I confess I haven't thought much about this question: on one side, educate through example and practice, showing the need to respect animals and, by extension, to respect the natural environment; on the other side, simply accept that Nature has its own ways. I see a good point in the "take care" option: cooperation of any kind, interspecies cooperation included, is not so bad and we don't know for sure how society will continue to develop...well, I'm reacting on the spot :)
