Volunteering at the Wildlife Shelter

I've mentioned before that I volunteer at the wildlife sanctuary and I love doing that 🧡

Did you know that

- we are open at least 12 hours at wildlife sanctuary in the high season and work with three shifts
- on some days, up to 40 animals or more can enter via the animal ambulance and private individuals
- many young animals are brought to us unnecessarily, because they have fallen out of the nest and people are then concerned (the parents are often still around and in many cases just keep feeding)
- a lot of young animals that have been caught by the cat are also coming in, precisely because they can't fly right away (keeping the cat inside for a few weeks will help so much)
- that we work very hard every day to clean all the lofts and lodgings (and there are a lot more)
- that we consume several large bags of grain, universal food, poultry, cat food, dog food and also lots of insects and fish per week
- that we care for up to 700 animals a day in the high season
- that the whole young birds are fed every half hour or every hour with syringes and tweezers
- that it is a lot of fun and rewarding work, but that you also need to work hard

I could add it even more, but it's sufficient for now. Volunteering at the wildlife sanctuary is hard work and we often run out of people, maybe there is also an animal sanctuary in your area and you have some time to help. It's still good work and no day is the same.

Hoedje af voor jullie verzorging van zoveel dieren. Jullie zijn allemaal reddende engelen voor hen. Want ik kan me goed inbeelden dat het hard werken is om zoveel mondjes te voederen en hun omgeving netjes te houden.👍
