Walking in North Brabant - Huis ter Heide

Huis ter Heide, a nature reserve behind the smoke of one of the Tilburg industrial estates. And what a beautiful walking area this is!

The Huis ter Heide area can be reached via De Moer. There are several walking routes in this nature reserve. We chose the somewhat longer route of more than 6 kilometers, containing a footpath and a stretch through the area where Scottish Highlanders run loose.

Also with this route, you can easily park your car in a parking lot at the start of the route. There are different landscapes in this route. One time you walk through the forest, then again on an open plain, and then walk along the water and along a decking path. In short, nicely varied. You'll even walk through a piece of nature where the Scottish Highlanders live, watch out for fresh pies you don't want to be in 😉

At the beginning of the footpath, you can rest on a bench and enjoy the view.

For children, this is also a fun route through the alternation of nature through which you walk. However, it is a longer route, pay attention to that if you are going to walk.

nice my interest in walking there has been aroused. It would be useful if you were to give some more information. Is there eg. a website with info or what is the address of the parking lot, start route, do you follow a color route or junctions?

@MereltjevanBrabant that's a very good! We have walked the 8 kilometer route, that is the green arrows route. You start at the parking lot spinderpad/galgeneindstraat in the municipality of Loon op Zand. Have fun ;-)
