Canvas cloths are very nice to work with children. You can go so many ways with it. These canvases below are made together with the children, step by step. The theme here isWarm and Cold Colors. The children have made a warm heart in a cold background, what a nice effect!

Method:

  1. Take a cardboard mold from a heart and pull it over with pencil
  2. Using a ruler, draw straight lines in the heart, both horizontally and vertically
  3. Draw around the heart than diagonal (skewed) lines
  4. Sort the colors with the children by “warm” or “cold”
  5. Color the inside of the heart with warm colors
  6. Color all faces outside the heart with cold colors
  7. Pull the pencil lines with a black marker
