Warm-Up
The choice has been made, Lisbon is the destination. Only 256 days until October 8 and my warm-up has officially started. With all the available data from the past few years, it's easy to create a training schedule and that's how it happened. In total, this schedule includes five training sessions per week, including one long run, one pace run and one interval training, supplemented with gentle laps and faster sessions. Of course, rest days are also provided. With a reasonable to good basic condition, the conditions are extremely beneficial to bring this challenge to a successful end, which is why I have also set myself a time goal: 03:45:00
Sub 4 should work anyway, but saving the time I can save on the miles that come is of the utmost importance to sharpen my PR. A mission of more than 42 kilometers along the coast with all the conveniences (cooling, direction) and inconveniences (wind) that entails. The intensity of my efforts is increasing, and I am expanding the diversity of training; more visits to the gym, swimming more often and as a bonus #bouldering for the much needed tax.
In my upcoming blogs, I will keep you informed about progress, possible setbacks and expectations, whether or not they have increased. We'll talk to each other along the way!
