Water Hyacinth.
Known as water hyacinth, water lily, flower of Bora, camalote, aquapey, lechuguín... It is native to the fresh waters of the warm regions of South America, mainly in the plains of Venezuela.. In the Amazon basins, It distributes rivers, lakes and ponds. Its abundance drastically changes wetland conditions. It is used as a medicinal plant, soil fertilizer and decorative. They are kept afloat, thanks to the petioles of the leaves, which are fluffy and thickened; and have a tissue with cells or large spaces filled with air that allow the plant to stay on the surface, its inflorescence is a spike with purple flowers with a yellow macha very beautiful to see. #Jacintodeagua
