Water Tower Watering

#WATERTOREN 🤓 The water tower in Meppel was built in 1883 and was designed by architect H.P.N. Halbertsma. It stands at the beginning of the Steenwijkerstraatweg. The water tower has a height of 39.60 meters and has a water reservoir of 230 m³.
The tower was renovated in 1955. In 2004, the tower was sold for 120,000 euros to the municipality of Meppel, who wants to turn it into an information centre. Unfortunately, this intention of the municipality never came about. The water tower is now for sale again! The asking price remains unchanged for the time being, the building has to raise about a ton.
