We're getting married! 'Whoever fits the shoe' (Part 8)
#trouwavontuur yes. . . A wedding advent it is for sure! It's getting very fast, because before you know it, it's Friday 8 May. We are still working on some things, such as the wedding cards (send), flowers and there is still a task to look for a #trouwauto . Today I went out with my mother again. This time to look for wedding shoes. Shoes for under my beautiful dress. Let me just be the type of woman who is totally out of the nette/heel shoe. In fact,. . . I prefer to spend my days on (blunt) sneakers. Still, at my wedding, I would like to have that one neat, beautiful, elegant shoe. The task of finding wedding shoes I always pushed out for me. Not really my thing. Where the hell am I supposed to conjure wedding shoes from? In the meantime, I would have seen some passing by on the Internet, but yes. . . ordering via the internet didn't seem like a good option. This option is left open as a kind of 'behind hand'. My mom soon came up with a link from a wedding dresses store in #apeldoorn , called #prinses #bruidsmode . My mother said that they have a lot of wedding shoes there. The site looked good and it seemed to me a bit to go to this store. On the site it was emphasized that you had to make an appointment for a visit. Still just emailed and indeed also for fitting shoes you have to make an appointment. Something that normally causes all my neck hairs to stand upright. I made this appointment anyway, because I thought my chances of success in a normal shoe store were small. So today it was so far. My alarm clock went far too early again, after working hard for a week and weekend. Well, what the hell does it matter? . It was for a good and fun purpose. Around 09:00am, I picked up my mother from the station in Apeldoorn. Together we walked towards Princess Bridal Fashion. Just in at the right moment, because it started to hail really hard. We got into a big store with lots of wedding dresses. Again I looked out my eyes, but I didn't want to look too much. My beautiful #trouwjurk I had already found. At the checkout stood a nice sign with all names. Presumably from women who also made an appointment to come to this store. Some names included the text 'I Said YES to the dress'. Clearer can not. My name wasn't there, unfortunately.. Well, of course, I didn't come for a #jurk , but for shoes. We were received by a friendly saleswoman. My disappointment arouted a little when she asked what she could do for us. It seemed like she wasn't really expecting us. Of course, that should not depress the fun. We were quickly put at a table and the saleswoman asked about my wishes. This conversation was very short and vigorous, because I had no real wishes. Not too high a heel and I have no idea what I really want. The saleswoman went straight on the road and came back with a number of boxes. So looking for yourself wasn't in it, but maybe it's a good thing. The #verkoopster came back with a 'simpler' shoe, but super comfortable. The temptation was therefore to go straight for this shoe. The saleswoman had another shoe. A slightly more chic shoe with a glitter. Really my thing! The heel is slightly higher and the shape of the nose falls into a point. In principle, not really my thing, but still I was convinced that these shoes were going to be. Without too much doubt I said YES to my new wedding shoes. Never expected it could go so fast. We were barely 15 minutes in the store. Of course we have made a nice day of it in Apeldoorn and have made about 11 kilometers of steps through the city center. The shopping street didn't look like that anymore, as it had always been. Lots of vacant properties. The rest of the shops we have (almost) all visited. And that is not exaggerated! Fortunately, this also gave me the insight that I did the right thing to get my shoes from a bridal shop. In another (normal) store I certainly did not pass for wedding shoes. And now just walk into those elegant, beautiful, glittery, with small heel 'things'!
