The temperatures are rising and gradually the tension is also increasing accordingly. Today, Valentine's Day, I fully express my love for improvement, acceleration and the fresh energy that running brings me unconditionally. Although working days, Saturday and Sunday were 48 hours to reflect on progress in the broadest sense of the word.

Due to a late start time at work, I was able to participate in the locally organized one again on Saturday #ParkRun in the Zuiderpark. Every week, right at nine o'clock local time, the various ParkRuns organize their 5 kilometers for all participants. Whether you're rolling with a walker, tipping a pram or having trouble walking, the slow pace or super speed don't matter, participating is important and you can only win. With two kilometers of walking from home to the start and almost the same distance back, I come back to a tip-top 10K training and gratefully make use of the time registration on the run.

A few hours after my finish, I will receive the digital results inside: third in my age group and among the first 30% finishers with a 22nd place. Just kick off the working day and then enjoy my well-deserved rest. Tomorrow, there is a challenge on the agenda.

Apart from my training schedule, I'm still following the challenges that my Adidas app has in store for me. Run at least 50K each month for extra points, which in turn provide exclusive benefits in the Adidas store and run separately scheduled races to measure my strength with athletes around the world. Always fun.

The five kilometers are scheduled for February. The conditions to participate are that you walk the distance; walking, speed walking, Nordic walking, jogging, sprinting even and all at once. You have 24 hours to complete the challenge and any breaks in the activity are counted in the end time.
