Peyto Lake

This is the Peyto Lake in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. I was there two years ago during my vacation. Together with my husband, I was part of a travel company, who took a tour of the west of Canada.

It was still very early in the morning, windless and the sun was rising slowly. I had not prepared well and therefore didn't know what we would get to see that day. Of course, I would have read the names of the sights, but I had not looked up any information about it on the internet. Sometimes it's lovely to be surprised and that happened on that morning.

On the way to our new destination, we quickly made a stopover. The bus we traveled with was parked in a parking lot and the group was advised to walk down a narrow forest path. There were no other tourists to be seen yet and the only thing you heard were the footsteps and conversations of the companions, and the birds in the trees. Without my mind, I was at the vantage point from one moment to the next, from where I had this view of Peyto Lake.
