Wham! (92 min).) Netflix: a double portrait of closest friends Andrew Ridgeley and Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou. With unprecedented access to both George and Andrew's personal archives, including never-before-seen footage and never-before-heard interviews, WHAM! chart in their own words the four-year journey from teenage school friends to global superstars.

But a lot harder to pronounce than grab it, Smith — or George Michael, the name by which he would become a celebrity. By the way, Ridgeley consistently calls him 'Yog' in this documentary. First, that George was inside Wham! still continuously in Andrew's shadow. Once he got started as a songwriter, however, his friend was barely able to keep up with him. Michael became the undisputed center of the Wham! Mania. A girl idol who — then secretly — liked boys. A budding superstar. In the end, he had to go on without Andrew, who, by the way, wished him all the success in the world at that time. In this joyful film, this development is served very tastefully by the closest friends themselves, off-screen and with irresistible archival material and Andrew's mother's scrapbooks.
