What are veneers?

Veneers can be defined in two ways.

1. In carpentry:

The first is that it can be a very thin piece of wood that is attached to particleboard or other types of manufactured wood. They are used to the cost of a project without sacrificing appearance.

How do they look like?

It is a thin piece of hardwood that is placed over a piece of manufactured wood. It may be attached using adhesives, screws, or nails. They are frequently used on cabinets, floors, and furniture. The frame and shelves of the unit are, Ade of particleboard, MDF, or plywood but the viewable surfaces are covered with veneers. This in turn gives the appearance that the product is solid hardwood but it is much more cost-efficient for many homeowners.

2. In dentistry:

In another sense, in dentistry, a veneer is a layer of material placed over a tooth. It can improve
aesthetics of a smile and protect the tooth surface from damage.

Types of veneer used in dentistry.

There are two main types of veneers, these are resin-based composite veneers and porcelain veneers. The difference came about from the different materials which are used to fabricate each.
And these are composite and dental porcelain. They alter the appearance of a person’s teeth.
They also improved the color
