How our constant noise destroys marine life
Roaring ships and pounding piles are a disaster for marine animals, according to extensive research. Because of our 'noise pollution' they sometimes die a horrible death. 'The animal hair cells were practically inflated.'

At least 20 of the 200 ships that cannot sail further through the container ship fixed in the Suez Canal carry cattle. There is concern about the welfare of the animals if the barrier is prolonged. According to Animals International, five of the ships identified had loaded animals in Spain and nine earlier this month in Romania .

There were no immediate concerns about the welfare of the animals, but if the container ship needs to be lightened to make loosening easier, it may take weeks for sufficient containers of cranes to be removed and the surrounding vessels will have to leave for longer find alternative routes.
The nearby ports of Said and Suez could be used to recharge feed when stock runs out, although the process may not be easy with so many ships in the queue. Weidinger of Animals International said she was worried if the crisis continued, animal welfare could become a problem. β€œMy biggest fear is that animals run out of food and water and get stuck on the ships because they cannot be unloaded anywhere else for paper reasons,” she said. β€œGetting stuck on board means that there is a risk [for the animals] of starvation, dehydration, injuries, waste accumulation so that they cannot lie down, nor can the crew lose the dead animal bodies in the Suez Canal. In fact, it's a ticking time bomb for biohazardous material for animals, the crew and all involved.”
