What consists of Dutch law
The law in all countries of Europe consists of: European/International law and National law. European law is what the countries agreed with each other in Brussels. In this way, they want certain things to be regulated equally for every citizen of Europe in terms of business and financial affairs. National law in the Netherlands
National law in the Netherlands consists of two parts: private law and public law. Private law is also called civil law or civil law, because it regulates the rules/laws between citizens and between consumers and businesses. Public law is intended for matters between citizens and the government or parts thereof (province and municipality). Furthermore, public law is for all people in the country. If you commit a murder, everyone will be imprisoned regardless of the circumstances.

Public law consists of the following three parts:
- Constitutional law;
- Administrative (process) law;
- Punishment (trial) right.
