What does Hu mean

HU is an ancient name for God. It has been used for thousands of years as a prayer and sacred chant to attune yourself to the presence of God. Hook it up is first used in the phrase “what’s your hu?” which means “what are you up to?” or “what are you doing?” as a way of asking somebody what they are doing that evening. The word hu can be used with other terms such as hu drama, hu shizzle and so on.

Hu shizzle is a slang term derived from the word ‘hook it’ and the slang term shizzle meaning cool hip and happening, a blend of the two words creates a slang term meaning cool, hip and happening. Hu drama is another slang term derived from ‘hook it’ and drama which means a “big event” or something exciting or important which can also be referred to as a ‘dramedy’ – drama + comedy.


Heads up:
It can be used in a variety of situations. For example, if you are driving and a car is approaching, you might signal to other drivers to "head's up" because a car is approaching. This could also be used in volleyball when you are about to hit the ball. The hockey community has adopted this phrase as well and uses it when players are coming towards each other. If a player has their head down when skating and another player yells "heads up" it alerts the player to look up so they can avoid any accidents.

When texting or emailing someone, you may send them the message "heads up" if you are sending them something important or something that might make them mad. This is a way of warning them before they read your message so that they don't get upset with what you have written.


Hold up:
Hold up may be used to describe a delay caused by someone or something in a non-negative way. It can also be used in reference to Internet lag. This phrase is sometimes censored as "hold on" to avoid confusion with the more common usage of "hold up" (meaning "rob").
Example: A: "Hold up, I need to find my keys." B: "It's going to take me five minutes to get home anyway, so don't rush."


Hang up:
Hanging up can refer to placing a telephone call on hold, or ending a telephone conversation. It may also be used to describe the action of removing an item from consideration. The phrase is commonly found as a filler in short sentences.

It may also be used as a reference to ending a relationship. For example, "after being together for three years, we decided to hang up". This has led to the term being used in movies and music lyrics as well. The phrase is also used in baseball to refer to the act of intentionally dropping or letting go of a bat after hitting or bunting a ball in order to force an error by making an infielder drop the ball.
