For weeks you can not turn on the TV or your PC or you read or hear something similar to: “Mother's Day: This is what every mother wants to HAVE!” and I abomination of this. Really, I abhorrors of it. For example, I read somewhere that the 10 most given Mother's Day gifts are “flowers, a Hotelbon, a coupon for a spa or sauna, a scent, a picture in a frame, a book or magazine, jewelry, chocolates, a food processor and lingerie.”

Of course, most mothers like to get a gift, sometimes it's like people, but the obligatory and commercial character busts me with the breast. The “buy something for your mother if you like, love or like her” and therefore the - for me - resulting from it “if you don't buy anything for your mother then you are a child of nothing” bothers me greatly. Plus it, and this may sound contradictory, given that someone somewhere in a marketing and/or sales consultation has decided what I want. Thinks I know what I need. Getting my children told how to act (read buy) to make it clear to me that I am the sweetest, nicest and kindest mother in the whole world.
Yes, I am a mother and yes I abomination of this!

When my oldest children were little, I found it difficult. The idea that at school they're working on the commercial idea of Mother's Day. I would have thought it was tougher from school if they had been tinkering somewhere in February for a randomly pricked “we put mother in the sun” - day.

But no, Mother's Day is the second Sunday of May. Although I have to admit that they stayed close to the original idea at school and that is that Mother's Day actually originated from the ideathat together we consider the role our mother and other mothers play in our lives.TO STAND STILL. I like that. What I don't like, for example, is that every child has somethingmustfor Mother's Day without asking a child if they want to. Because let's be honest, not every child has a nice mother or has a mother that they want or can dwell on. Of course I also realized at the time that my children enjoyed crafting at school and making something special for me, so to them I never noticed anything about this.
