According to a study, just about 1 percent of the population could be a psychopath. People considered psychopaths have difficulty expressing different types of emotions, especially empathy, sadness and anxiety. But psychologists believe they can fall in love, just like everyone else. Alone, the ways in which they express their feelings and start communicating in a relationship are very different.

Psychologists suggest that there are different levels in psychopathy. When someone does not show bad, no obvious signs of psychopathy, they are more likely to be able to fall in love.
Psychopaths can also feel lonely and have a desire to be liked. But it's hard for them to maintain a healthy relationship due to their lack of emotional connectedness and the impossibility of opening up to someone else.

Their relationships are based on reasons other than usual.

As psychopaths experience difficulties building strong emotional bonds and creating intimacy in the relationship, they are more likely to step into relationships that are based on common beliefs and attitudes towards the world. But their partner should be careful: psychopaths are hugely selfish and usually try to manipulate their partner to sacrifice their own interests for them.

Psychopaths may crave close relationships but are almost never able to form them

Psychopaths usually express the so-called style of avoiding contact. They usually fail when trying to get an emotional connection with someone else for the sake of their inability to have empathy and become emotionally connected. Psychopaths can't count on someone else and often try to use other people to take advantage of them themselves.
