A composer is someone who writes a piece of music for theatre, TV, radio, film, video games and other areas where music is needed. The music must be recorded in the right way to be able to guide the musician well. The main task of the composer is to write an original composition for a specific project. The play is then performed by a musician or an ensemble. The composer makes sure that the music fits the project; as in the case of film scores where the music should help move the story without dominating the scene. The music he writes can be instrumental or contain lyrics and can come in a variety of styles, such as classical, jazz, country or folk.

Composer

Most composers have a strong background in music theory, composition, orchestration and harmony. However, there are many composers who have not received formal training. Composers such as Edward Elgar, Karl Lawrence King, Amy Beach, Dizzy Gillespie and Heitor Villa-Lobos were mostly self-taught. A good composer has fresh ideas, is creative, versatile, not afraid to experiment, willing to collaborate and of course, passionate about writing music. Most composers know how to play different instruments, carry a tune and have a good ear.

Why would you be a composer?

While the road to a composer can be difficult and highly competitive, once you set your foot in the right door, you can generate good income for you, not to mention the experience and lighting you encounter along the way.
