What is a Prayer?

Not being raised in any religion, personally, but interested by this challenge, I was curious to learn the true meaning of "a Prayer". This is something everybody knows, more or less, but what does it mean in fact?

- A Prayer can be seen as an invocation or act that seeks to activate a relationship with an object of worship through specific and intentional communication.

- A Prayer can also be an act of supplication or intercession addressed to a deity or a deified ancestor.

- Finally, a Prayer may also have the purpose of thanksgiving or praise, even in the form of an abstract meditation and with charms or spells.

- You can pray to a superior entity, or to a Parent (Mother/Father), or you can pray to Mother Nature.

I like the idea of Meditation and the profound immersion in Nature. We have been neglecting Nature and destroying the beautiful place that we were given to live on. Perhaps we can turn our energies to the Planet; it needs our love, our attention, our efforts to do good and save it. #prayer #prayfortheplanet
