What is chives and what does it do to your health?
Chives or pipe grass is both known as a vegetable and as a herb. It is part of the garlic vegetable and is closely related to garlic, leeks and onions. You can recognize chives by their long, slender grass stems and by their beautiful pink, white or purple flowers. It has a remarkably spicy scent and even has medicinal properties. In a tablespoon or three grams of chives, we mainly find:
