The increase in medical information about human mental health has led to many discoveries in this field over the years. Psychology is related to a person's attitude and state of mind as a whole. The way in which each individual is able to function fully as part of a social structure, can contribute to a level of attainable satisfaction with general health. One of the diseases associated with this condition is depression. Depression can be defined as an illness that affects the mood of the patient involved. The disease is known to cause symptoms that affect a person's ability to hear a variety of problems, including daily activities.
There are many factors that can contribute to a person's onset of depression. The disease is mainly caused by major events that have a negative impact on a person's health. Depression can also be caused by conditions such as extreme stress, constant anxiety, major life changes, hormonal fluctuations and / or prolonged stress. One or more of these components may affect the chemical balance within the human brain.
Symptoms of Depression
There are a number of symptoms that often occur when you start to feel down. These changes, when reflected in a person's personality, may be an indication that he or she may be suffering from depression. Some of the symptoms associated with depression include:
· Physical changes such as decreased appetite, constant fatigue, and difficulty sleeping for a long time (usually two weeks or more) may be an indication that there may be depression.
· Loss of interest in jobs, people and things that once enriched one's life, without significant change may be a sign of future depression.
· A person's emotional state emerges when they are experiencing stress. Persistent feelings of unhappiness, sadness, hopelessness, and the like are all major signs that a person may be infected.
· A sudden darkening in health and a reluctance to enjoy the pleasures available to a person may be a sign of the disease.
These symptoms should be truly consistent before they are described as depression. A large number of people may experience occasional mood swings, when they feel low and often unhappy. These changes are usually fixed within a few hours / days. It takes a long time for negative emotions to exist to deal with stress. This condition can be divided from mild to severe depending on the number and severity of the symptoms.
How to Cope With Stress?
The World Health Organization (WHO) states that depression affects one in five women, and one in ten at one time or another during their lifetime. In the US, 12% and 21% of men and women respectively, will experience a variety of stressors at the same time in their lives.
