At any time, you can adjust the time zone in Outlook to reflect your current geographic location. Changing the time zone in Outlook same changing in Windows Control Panel, and the change is reflected in the time displays of all other Microsoft Windows-based products.
How Many Time Zones Are There?
There are 24 time zones in the world if each zone was one hour apart. However, several time zones have only 30 or 45 minute offsets, resulting in a substantially higher global total.
More Than 24 Time Zones
There are 24 time zones in the world if each zone was one hour apart.
The International Date Line (IDL), on the other hand, adds three more. Furthermore, numerous time zones are only 30 or 45 minutes apart, substantially increasing the overall number of conventional time zones.
Daylight Saving Time Zones
The time zone and the time shift that occurs during Daylight Saving Time (DST). The words "daylight" or "summer" are commonly added to the name, and the local time is often advanced by one hour.
California, for example, utilizes Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) with a UTC offset of UTC-7 during DST, but Pacific Standard Time (PST) with a UTC offset of UTC-8 the rest of the year.
Defined by UTC Offset
Every location on Earth is measured in terms of its distance east or west of Greenwich, London, United Kingdom's prime meridian (0°longitude). This is also the starting point for Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), which has a rate of one hour per 15 degrees of longitude.
To obtain the proper time zone in hours, divide the longitude in degrees by 15. Consider the following scenario:
• The time should be calculated as follows: longitude 150 degrees west (or 150° W) divided by 15 degrees = 10 hours behind UTC, or UTC-10.
• The time in 75 degrees east longitude (or 75 degrees E) would be 75 degrees divided by 15 degrees, or UTC+5.

More about time zones in Outlook
The Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) format, which is similar to Greenwich Mean Time, is used to preserve the start and finish times for entries in the Outlook Calendar.
When you send a meeting request to someone in a different time zone, the meeting is saved in UTC but displays on their calendars at their local hours.
For instance, a meeting organizer in the United States sends a 2:00 p.m. meeting request to a participant in the United States Mountain time zone. The meeting will begin at 3:00 p.m. Mountain time, according to the participant. In all situations, the meeting is scheduled to begin at 10:00 p.m. UTC.
The meeting organizer's time zone is utilized as the reference point if two time zones are displayed. If you host a meeting and show free/busy times for attendees from different time zones, their busy times will be changed to match your time zone. Only when viewing the calendar in the day or week view will you see the second time zone.
