What is PST?

Every country, region and continent have a different time zone. The world has many time zones one which is ‘’PST’’ or known as Pacific Standard Time.
Pacific Standard Time is enclosed around the regions of Canada, United States and Mexico. In everyday use it is often referred to as Pacific Time Zone. Due to this a confusion the Pacific Standard Time switches from PST to PDT or known as Pacific Daylight Time.

     Who Invented Standard Time Zone?

The concept of using a Time zone was adopted in the late 19th Century to end the confusion of different solar times used by each community.
These time zones were most needed in the United States of America and Canada, where long distance railway routes were observed. This caused vast changes in the local time zones.
In 1870 Sir Sandford Fleming, a Canadian railway engineer and planner outlined a worldwide time system. Delegates from 27 countries met in Washington D.C in 1884 to agree on a worldwide time system to be used everywhere.

            Importance of Time zone

Time is an important aspect of life. We as humans regret things that we could’ve done to meet our loved ones again or goals that we wanted to achieve but couldn’t due to any reason.
As I said in the above paragraph, people in the past used solar time zone, they used a device called the Sundial which had a wooden piece in the middle. It used the sun’s light and shadows formed by the wooden piece created a needle that would tell the different times in the day to the people.

However, this method had many inaccuracies as the position of the sun was different on every place on earth meaning if one place had daylight the other had darkness and morning had yet to be arrived as such.
Thanks to the invention of the Standard Time Zone, people from all around the world were finally able to keep track of the commence from morning to afternoon to evening to nighttime and made life easier for the people.

Just like PST (Pacific Standard Time) there many times zones in the world GMT, PMT, CUT, DST and many more
Time indeed is a value asset and a Time zone is an even greater one that is the way how life works in a system whether be variable system or a constant one time , however will remain same.
