Do you often think back to your own childhood?
I catch myself that I've always done too little of this..
Now that I have children of my own, I also tell them how my parents did things and what, for example, our sleep rituals were when we were little.

This is the funniest and funniest thing of my childhood that my mother used to put me in bed, I did not agree with that and my father came up later.
I always managed to get him to read another story.. Basically, I was supposed to fall asleep, but instead my father fell asleep and I went down to my mother. Gosh, what did I keep them occupied that way?.
Now these are things we have to laugh very hard about when we talk about it or when my own kids do exactly the same thing..

What I have also been behind for a number of years is that my father never read a story, but always invented the stories with the pictures because he can't read quickly and it takes him far too long, hahahaha.

Ha ha, so you put your dad to bed 😄. The best memory of my childhood is that I used to ride horseback. Not on a horse but on Prince, our bouvier. I grabbed his curls and jumped on his back! In de winter woonden we midden in de stad en dat was altijd zo gezellig met de markt voor de deur en shoppen en iedere dag ijs halen. In het voorjaar en zomer een huisje aan de rand van het bos naast een boerderij aan het kanaal en dan in de vroege uurtjes vissen voor de deur en varen met een bootje en de boer helpen met de koeien uit het land halen, de lammetjes de fles geven, peren en appels plukken, de konijnen verzorgen , de stal uitmesten. Eén en al feest die jaren. Ik mis het nog vaak en denk er elke week wel aan terug.

Een van de mooie was de nachtmis met Kerst (om middernacht ja) en daarna thuis een pasteitje met ragout, waarna we cadeaux gingen uitpakken. Gezellige tijd.
