What PH is acidic?

In chemistry, pH is a measure of the activity of dissolved hydrogen ions. By pH, basically refers to the concentration of hydrogen ions. A method called pH scale is used to express the concentration of hydrogen ions in aqueous solutions of acids and bases. The signal used to determine the concentration of hydrogen ions in a solution is pH. The French word Pouvior Hydrogen means hydrogen energy, abbreviated pH. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14.

Acid soils have a pH below 8 and alkaline soils have a pH above 6.

The effect of pH quality on human life
There is an importance to the pH quality of the various components of the human body and the environment. Below is a discussion of how human life is affected when the pH is lower or higher than normal.

Effects of tooth decay pH
The pH value of human body fluids is very important. When the pH changes more than usual, various physical problems occur. In human saliva, its pH is between 6.02 and 7.05 but if the pH is less than 6.02 i.e. acidic in nature then tooth enamel decays. Tooth decay is easily caused by cavities in the teeth.

Effect of pH on agricultural land
The use of ammonium sulfate fertilizer in arable land reduces the pH value of the soil and the soil becomes acidic in nature. Then there is no good harvest. The pH of this soil is determined to determine which fertilizer to apply for which crop.

Effect of pH on water
If the pH of the reservoir is less than 7, then the reservoir becomes unsuitable for fish farming. Then lime is sprinkled in the water. This lime soothes the excess acid in the reservoir. The reservoir became suitable for fish farming again.
