#shortstory During a research experiment, a marine biologist placed a small shark in a fish tank, and then added some small fish as well.
Truly obvious, the shark swam quickly around the fish tank with the intention of attacking the fish, so successfully managed to eat them.
The biologist seeing the result decides to add a strong piece of transparent fiberglass to the fish tank, thus creating two equal halves. Then he placed the shark on one side and a new group of fish on the other.
The shark without hesitation again launched quickly. Although this time he did not succeed because it crashed into the divider and bounced every time he tried, so he went on and on but saw it yielded no result. Meanwhile, the fish swam quietly without the consequence of any danger stalking them. Finally after an hour the shark got tired of trying.
This experiment was repeated repeatedly over several days. The already tired shark stopped trying so often and became less aggressive, until he finally got tired of hitting the separation of the fish tank and simply stopped attacking completely.
The biologist then removed the separation, but the shark was not trying to attack the fish. He was trained to believe that there was a barrier between him and the other fish, so now they swam wherever they wanted, free from any danger.
Moral
Like the shark in this story, we often give up after trying without any result. Perhaps in the goals you have set yourself, in your studies, in your work, in your business, even in the spiritual life.
“For the righteous one falls seven times; and rises again, but the wicked will fall into misfortune. “Proverbs 24:16
You've probably got tired of trying and failing. You set out to be faithful to God and you failed again. Do not give up, life is full of moments of difficulty and defeats, but God has not given us a spirit of cowardice but of power and self-dominion (2 Timothy 1:7).
Don't let discouragement fill your mind and make you stop trying. Keep fighting, don't stay on the ground until you fall into misfortune. Get up and go on to the goal, because God is with you and the award is great. Trust God and His Promises.
