What size is a queen bed?

Is a queen bigger than a king in the UK?
What is the difference between queen and king-sized beds? King-sized beds and queen-sized beds are both the same size. Queen-sized beds are not the same size in the UK. Buying a queen-sized bed and expecting it to be as large or larger than a king-size may prove problematic since a queen-sized bed is actually the equivalent size of a small double bed.
