Central time
Central European Time is the time zone that operates the largest part of the countries of Europe. The CET is equal to UTC + 1.
In the past, this time zone was also called MET or in English Middle European Time
Timezone (in English: Time zone ) is an area on the earth between the formal time limits and the official date [1] are the same everywhere and in all seasons [2]. If one ignores the latter criterion, i.e. the introduction of daylight saving time, there are currently 38 time zones around the world [3]. If the different times of daylight saving time are also taken into account, the number of time zones increases considerably. There is now a tendency to coordinate the introduction of daylight saving time in many countries, to reduce the number of time zones and improve coordination between countries.
The time zones observed in North America can be difficult to comprehend. Most people are not even aware of the fact that certain parts of Canada follow established standards relative to time zones in the United States. One thing that is curious about time zones is how certain locations observe more than one, depending on how close they are to geographical boundaries. This is especially true when it comes to those under the central and eastern time zones. There are differences between respecting Central (CT) and Eastern Time (ET).
The Central Standard Time Zone of North America was observed in the areas of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The central time zone is calculated by subtracting six hours from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), or five hours if we observe daylight saving time (mean daylight saving time or CDT). From 2007, CST changes to CDT on the second Sunday in March at 02:00 (EST) to 3:00 (EDT). It returns to EST on the first Sunday of November from 2:00 AM to 1:00 AM EST. This is called Central Time in the United States, as well as Canada, often abbreviated to "Central" in occasional conversation. In Mexico, the time zone is called Tiempo del Centro and is two hours ahead of the Pacific Time Zone. In the United States, the states that usually observe Central Time are Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin. Some states usually observe central time but have areas that follow mountain time: Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Texas.
On the other hand, Eastern Standard Time is observed by most of the east coast of the United States, as well as some areas of Canada. Mexico has no areas observing this time zone. Eastern Standard Time, abbreviated as EST and informally referred to as βEastβ, is calculated by subtracting five hours from Coordinated Universal Time; this changes to subtract four hours when we observe Eastern Daylight Saving Time (EDT). From 2007, the EST changes to the EDT on the second Sunday in March from 02:00 (EST) to 3:00 (EDT). It returns to EST on the first Sunday of November from 2:00 AM to 1:00 AM EST. States that observe EST and EDT (if applicable) are Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia. Washington DC is also spotting Eastern time. In Canada, the following areas are observed ET: Ontario, Quebec, and parts of Nunavut.
Certain areas share both Central and Eastern time: some parts of Alabama Columbus, the Indian Northwest and Southwest corners, the western parts of Kentucky, and some parts of Michael and Tennessee. The western part of Florida Apalachicola also observes Central Time, and the rest of the state observes Eastern Time.
Eastern time is the unofficial βstandardβ time for the United States because it has the capital Washington DC and the city of New York, the largest city in the country. Most media organizations use Eastern Time as the basis of their program schedules. Namely, they have Eastern and Pacific times; Eastern food covers the eastern and central time zones, and Pacific food covers mountainous and Pacific time zones.) The sports schedule also uses Eastern time when announcing its games.
Abstract:
Central time is observed by parts of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Eastern time is observed by parts of the United States and Canada; in Mexico, it is not observed anywhere.
Eastern time is the unofficial standard time of the United States.
Certain states that we generally observe Central time have areas that follow Eastern time.
