The earth is rotating from west to east every day, once every 24 hours. As a result, the part of the earth that is on the east side gets sunrise earlier. As a result of this rotation of the earth, at some point in the day, when the sun is just above the head, there is noon and at that time the clock of that place is taken at 12 noon. Other times of the day are determined from this time of day. So we can say that the time which is determined from the position of the sun in the sky is called local time. Since the sun is not positioned at more than one longitude at the same time, there is a difference in time between different longitudes.
