What to carry in your backpack

1 - Water (and something else)
Water, water, water and more water. Never forget about water. When you go out on the road during your trip, bring enough water and never trust yourself. Try to spot the spots along the way to refill your canteen.

2 - Versatile clothing
Especially warm clothes if you go to a cold place like Mérida and a raincoat for those rains that come without warning.

3 - Mobile phone, charger, compass and map of the area
You know you can get lost and your phone may not have a signal, so bring a compass, oh, and a flashlight.

4- First aid kit
Everything you need for any situation that may arise.

5 - Food
Bring canned goods that are easy to prepare, a lighter to make a small campfire and prepare some food, if you go near a river and know how to fish well for you.

6 - Documentation
Your ID cannot be missing.
