What to watch after Breaking Bad

One of the most talked-about series of the year is “Breaking Bad”. It received a rating of 9 or above on IMDB.com making it one of the most-watched series. The series has five seasons and was quite addictive. If you have watched it then you’ll know what we are talking about and if not you must watch it before reading what to watch right after it to keep the adrenaline rush pumping. The show has come to an end and fans are searching for a similar series to watch which has led us to come up with the following five series that you make like.

Better Call Saul

If you enjoyed Breaking Bad, then you’ll like Better Call Saul as well. You’ll get to see memorable characters like Tuco Salamanca, Mike Ehrmantraut, and Gus Fring not to mention the sly lawyer Saul Goodman in the lead role. Watching Better Call Saul right after Breaking Bad seems like an obvious choice due to both the series are quite similar when it comes to their premise and tone. This series gives you some wacky humor and a little more stress that will keep you hooked to the screen.

The Shield

We saw how a normal, decent, and a hard worker can turn into a corrupted one due to circumstances in Breaking Bad. The Shield tells a tale about police corruption throughout its 7 seasons. The series has thrilling plots with scary drug lords to train heists. This is a series about the unknown side of American society. This one will keep you wanting more drama as you go deep into the story.

Lupin

Breaking Bad was more towards the real world whereas Lupin is lighthearted and has a little more fantasy to it. The series is based on classic folklore about a thief, Arsene Lupin who works his magic through his wits and charm to escape from crime scenes. It is fun to watch how Lupin played by Omar Sy proves the whole justice system turns out to be incompetent when it came to catching him. This series will make you empathize with Lupin even though he is a thief and you’ll find yourself hoping he doesn’t get caught. Each episode very cleverly lures you to the other one and you’ll feel bad when it ends.

Deadwood

If you are fascinated by the Wild West then you can watch Deadwood right after Breaking Bad. The story takes place during the post-Civil War years in a mining town. The town is known for attracting outlaws, whores, and gold diggers. These characters are shown to have no values which will not make you hate them but love them as they fight to survive. The series gives you a ton of drama, nudity, and profanity. You’ll like it if you don’t get offended easily.

Weeds

Another good series to watch after Breaking Bad is Weeds. You have got to watch it to know why it is recommended. The series will make you think about so many things that you take for granted. You will meet characters who make stupid decisions but you will fall in love with them as they struggle to deal with their life issues. It will again show you how simple people are forced into paths due to circumstances. It is a must-watch if you like to see some drama that you can relate to.

Ozark

Again one of the most watched series. This is very much like Breaking Bad mainly due to the involvement of the cartel and people who end up in a rut due to their decisions. The series is about Marty Byrde played by Jason Bateman who ends up getting stuck with a scheme gone wrong during money laundering. He moves to Ozark, Missouri with his family and does what it takes to keep his family safe. The series will take you through the ups and downs of a struggling family who wants to live a safe life but can’t. You’ve got to check it out to know more about it.
