The Americans is a wonderful show and it is heartbreaking to see that it has ended. It ran from 2013 to 2018 and had many people glued to it due to its great storyline. It is one of the best-written and best-acted shows that had people entertained for years. It is a spy drama created by Joe Weisberg and was set during the Cold War. The show is about Elizabeth (Keri Russell) and Philip Jennings (Matthew Rhys) who are two KGB intelligence officers but live in America as a couple with their kids. The show is fun to watch and people who have seen it must be missing the thrill, here are a few that you can check out if you watched The Americans and enjoyed it.

Bridge Of Spies
This drama is based on true events and has Tom Hanks, Mark Rylance, Alan Alda, and Austin Stowell in it. The cast of the show itself is quite impressive as the story. It is about a lawyer James B. Donovan (Mr. Hanks) who is recruited by the CIA in 1957 to negotiate the release of a United States Air Force pilot whose plane was shot down over Soviet territory. The show has some great dialogues and spy thrills to keep you hooked for days.

The falcon and the snowman
This one is again based on true events and is about two young Americans Sean Penn and Timothy Hutton who become spies for the Soviet Union. The story runs around the two men one is the defense contractor, Christopher Boyce (Hutton) and the other is his childhood friend Andrew (Penn) and let us not forget Lee, a cocaine smuggler, and an addict. The two men soon realize that they are head over heels due to their decision of becoming spies.

Jack Ryan

This is an entertaining series created by Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland. It is about a CIA analyst, Jack Ryan (John Krasinski) who finds a series of suspicious bank transfers and starts looking for some answers. He soon finds himself in a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East not to mention tackling a terrorist attack planned against the US and her allies. The show is very thrilling and will remind you a lot about The Americans and how they stayed focused in the midst of all the commotion.

Chernobyl

This is a must-watch if you haven’t watched it yet. It is a true story about an explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in 1986 in the USSR. It was one of the biggest and worst man-made catastrophes that left many dead. The show shows how people united and sacrificed each other to save their loved ones and even strangers.

The Bourne Identity
Another excellent one to watch is The Bourne Identity. It is about a man (Matt Damon) who was left to die but survives. He wakes up with amnesia and is left to live without an identity or background. He does have excellent fighting and linguistic skills which sets him apart from the others. He decides to find himself and the reason behind being chased by assassins. The movie is packed with excellent fight scenes with a great and captivating story.
