What to watch before Falcon and winter Soldier
Marvel’s next original series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is finally here!
You can stream it now on Disney+ after months of anticipation. The show picks up after the events of Avengers: Endgame and shows what life is like in a world with fewer superheroes. But, if you want to be prepared and know what’s going on in the show, there are some MCU films that you’ll need to watch first!
Captain America: The First Avenger
First, you’ll want to watch the first Captain America movie! This movie introduces us to Steve Rogers as a character and tells the story of how he became an American super-soldier. Cap’s legacy is an important part of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s storyline, so you’ll want to be educated on his background.
Plus, in this movie, you get to meet one of the main characters of the show Bucky Barnes. Bucky has been friends with Steve since their childhood, and this movie shows you what he was like before he became Winter Soldier. You also get an in-depth look at what it was like for both of them fighting in World War II.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Based on the title you probably understand why this movie is so important to the plot of Marvel’s new series. In this film, we not only get a LOT more of Bucky’s backstory, but we also get to meet Sam Wilson for the first time, aka The Falcon.
