What to watch on HBO Max movies

Watching a good movie before you hit the bed can remove a lot of stress. There are many different platforms and channels you can check out for a good movie but if you don’t feel like wasting time trying to find one that you like here is a list of some good ones you can watch on HBO Max.

An American Pickle
If you like Seth Rogen you will probably like this one too. He plays two roles in An American Pickle. One is Herschel Greenbaum who is a Jewish laborer struggling in America in 1919. He starts working at a pickle factory and falls into a vat of pickles and gets preserved for 100 years. He then wakes up in 2019 in Brooklyn and lives with his great-grandson, also played by Seth himself. You won’t mind me saying that the movie is pretty creative. It is a low-key comedy and wonderful acting by Rogen.

Free Guy
This is a fun action-comedy in which Guy (Ryan Reynolds) lives inside a video game but is unaware of it. He meets Millie (Jodie Comer) who is a real-life programmer and enters the game to try to find the code that was stolen from her. Both of them team up to find the code and in the process, Guy realizes that his existence depends on the game. Might sound confusing and too technical but it is actually a fun and fast paces move with great actors and a creative story.

Let them all talk
This one is about an eccentric author played by none other than Meryl Streep(Alice Hughes). She struggles to finish her next book and is being pestered by her literary agent (Gemma Chan). She boards a cruise ship with some friends hoping to find inspiration but things turn another way round. You have got to watch it to know what happens next.

Locked down
This is a wonderful rom-com which is a heist film as well. The lead roles are played by beautiful Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor. It is a story about a couple who plan to rob a jewelry store in London during the lockdown due to the pandemic. They try to reevaluate their relationship that was strained during the pandemic. It is one of the most polished movies but it is quite funny and entertaining. You might relate to it more due to the pandemic going on in the background.

The fallout
After a shooting occurs at her high school, 16-year-old Vada Cavell must navigate friendships, school, and her relationship with her family. The Fallout skillfully approaches the serious subject matter with realistic dialogue and compassion for its characters. With strong performances from stars Jenna Ortega, as Vada, and Maddie Ziegler, as her new friend Mia Reed, the feature will keep you glued to the screen for the entirety of its 90-minute runtime.
