What to watch on Netflix? 'The Woman in the Window'
The Woman at the Window (2021)
Based on a novel by AJ. Finn. Dr Anna Fox, who suffers from agoraphobia, spends her days locked up in her New York home, drinking wine while watching old movies and spying on her neighbors. One day, as he looks out the window, he sees something happening in front of his house, in the home of the Russells, a family that has just arrived in the neighborhood.

A film where you wonder what is happening and generates some uncertainty for you without knowing what is happening in the environment of what is real and what is false. In this film, more and more elements can be added to this plot, but the film 'The Rear Window' by director Hitchcock is still the source of inspiration, and this makes it interesting because here is added agoraphobia (Fear of places and situations that can cause panic, helplessness or shame), which gives it an air dramatic. In short, an excuse for not being able to leave the house, the equivalent of the broken leg in Hitchcock's film.
Well performed, excellent performances with a spectacular Amy Adams as always where you really see a solid performance that conveys to the viewer what she is going through and that we would not want to be in that position without a doubt, which makes the film more enjoyable. So it's an interesting thriller for fans of those movies where there is intrigue mixed with suspense. Good production and a good cast.
