What to watch when bored

The Winter season brings with it the festive season, loads of snow, hot chocolate, and a little boredom with it. Watching snow from inside your living room is bliss but walking to school or to work in the snow is not so much fun. A lot of us like to stay inside our cozy living rooms and enjoy the weather with a hot cup of coffee and our favorite movie. If you are one of them then here are a few movies you can watch when you are bored out of your wits and don’t want to go outside no matter what.

Uncut Gems

If you are fond of Adam Sandler’s witty humor then you are in on a treat with the movie Uncut Gems. This is one of his best roles yet in which he plays a gem dealer who has a large ego but is a gambler. In the movie, he makes a deal with Kevin Garnett and finds himself on a dangerous path. This is not like other Adam Sandler movies where you simply sit back and laugh your heart out, this is an adventurous crime thriller with high levels of anxiety and of course wit. The movie is directed by the Safdie brothers and is a sure-shot way of killing your boredom.

Dirty Dancing

Now, who does not love Patrick Swayze? Don’t know what to do, watch the ever so sexy and romantic Dirty Dancing. The movie has the best soundtrack not to mention some killer dance moves by Swayze and Jennifer Grey. You’ll end up swaying your hips a little while watching the movie for sure.

The Matrix

If you are bored then The Matrix will make your mind work for sure. Keanu Reeves plays Thomas Anderson, code name Neo who realizes that he has been living in a simulated reality known as the Matrix. He is contacted by Morpheus who thinks that Neo is the one who can save and free humanity. The movie is mind-boggling as it takes you deep into a virtual world and makes you think twice about this other world. It leaves no space for boredom.  

The Pursuit of Happyness

There are times when all you want to do is indulge in cuteness and a whole lot of emotions and the movie The Pursuit of Happyness has it all. It is one of the best dramas when it comes to emotions, love, family, determination, and sacrifice. The movie is about a man named Chris played by Will Smith whose wife leaves him with a son because of poor financial conditions. He struggles to get a better job and make his life happier with his son. The movie will take you through an emotional roller coaster and will make you laugh and cry at the same time. It is a must-watch is all I can say.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith

This again is a great movie to kill boredom as it is full of comedy, action, and sizzling romance between the most popular couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. In the movie, the couple is shown attending marriage counseling as their love life has lost its passion but they both don’t know that each of them is working as professional assassins working for rival agencies. The movie is fun to watch as you will watch both of them trying to go on about their business and trying their best to hide it from their other half.

Finding Nemo

If you haven’t seen Finding Nemo, add it to your must-watch list. Yes, it is animation but one can never be too old to watch a good animation movie. The movie is as cute as it can get. It is about a young clownfish who is lost in the Pacific Ocean and finds a whacky friend to find his father. You have got to see it to understand when I say, whacky friend. This is one movie you will recommend to anyone bored after you watch it.
