When is watermelon harvested?

Watermelon, a thermophilic plant is a member of the pumpkin family. Its cultivation is not an easy task. However, with good care, this plant can produce excellent quality fruit. Watermelon is a crop that can be harvested in 65-90 days and yields well in summer. Using modern farming techniques, you can develop a variety of tasty and sweet indoor seedless, reddish varieties. With independent cultivation, you can achieve a good harvest. To do this, you need to properly prepare the area and then plant the seeds.

The outer shell of the ripe watermelon should be firm and not be easily crushed when pressed. To harvest, use a clean, sterile knife and do not twist or break the vine as this will injure the vine. They remain in the same ripe state until they begin to rot.
Try to harvest before the onset of rains as the rains during the ripening period may reduce the quality and sweetness of the watermelon. You should also try to remove weeds from time to time while cultivating. As for watering, it should be regular, but no additional watering is required. Be careful during flowering as it indicates that they need less water.
