Batman is an English web comic character created by writer Bill Finger and cartoonist Bob Kane for DC Comics. Batman first introduced in Detective Comics no. 27 in May 1939, and has since featured in a slew of comic books, cartoons, and novels, as well as on television in a campy live-action series and a highly praised cartoon movie, computer games, and moody, atmospheric movies.
The Legend
Bruce Wayne's family excursion to the movies ended in disaster. Bruce, his father, Thomas, and mother, Martha, were walking home when they mistakenly entered Gotham City's renowned "Crime Alley" and were approached by a mugger. He robbed the wealthy Waynes; shot and murdered Dr. Thomas and Martha Wayne before escaping into the night. The hoodlum’s identity was "never established". Bruce vowed to revenge his parents as he knelt alongside their remains. Dr. Leslie Thompsons consoled Bruce after the cops came. Dr. Thompkins and Alfred Pennyworth worked together to ensure that Bruce was not taken into care by Gotham's Social Services. Dr. Thompkins and Alfred helped Bruce fulfill his ambition of being a crusader against injustice in this approach.
Modern Batman
DC Comics relaunched the storylines of certain powerful characters after the 12-issue television series Crisis on Infinite Earths, in an attempt to bring them up to date for modern viewers. In the Year One from Batman narrative, Frank Miller rewrote Batman's origin tale, emphasizing a grittier tone in the character. Despite the fact that the Earth-Two Batman is no longer a part of history, numerous storylines from Batman's Silver Age/Earth-One career remained legitimate in the post-Crisis continuity, with his beginnings essentially unchanged. For instance, the majority of Gotham's cops are fraudulent, necessitating the presence of Batman. While Dick Grayson's backstory stays mostly unchanged, Jason Todd, the second Robin, has his background altered; making him the orphan son of a petty criminal who attempted to steal the Bat mobile’s tires. Phillip Wayne, the protector, has also been removed, leaving young Bruce to be reared by Alfred.
In fact, Batman is no longer a charter member of the Justice League of America, though he does serve as the head of a new edition of the team that debuted in 1987 for a brief while. DC released a new Batman movie called Legends of the Dark Knight in 1989 to help balance in the updated back narrative for Batman after Crisis, and has eventually published many miniseries and one-shot tales that mostly take place during the "Year One" period. Several tales by Jeph Loeb and Matt Wagner also mention this time period. Jason Todd, the second Robin, is slain by the Joker in the 1988 Batman tale "Batman: A Death in the Family." As a result, Batman's crime-fighting becomes increasingly darker and more exaggerated. Until the end of the decade, when Tim Drake takes over as the new Robin, Batman works alone.
Death of Batman
Batman fought Dr. Simon Hurt and the "Black Glove," a criminal organisation committed to corrupting morality, as they sought to destroy Batman and everything he fights for. The Black Glove tries Batman's willpower with a combination of physiological assaults, compelling him to momentarily adopt the deranged character of the "Batman of Zur-En-Arrh." He is subsequently transported to Arkham Asylum, where he will encounter the Joker. Batman, seemingly vanquished, gets buried alive by the Black Glove, a squad that comprises Bruce Wayne's unfaithful girlfriend, Jezebel Jet. He turned the tables on his adversaries with the help of Robin and Night wing. Batman gets captured in a helicopter accident during his last showdown with Dr. Hurt. The plot closes with both Batman's fate and Dr. Hurt's actual identity still unknown. All across the narrative, Hurt pretended to be Thomas Wayne, but Batman evidently mistook him for Mangrove Pierce, a crazy actor.
