When was Bill Clinton president

The 42nd president of the United States was William Jefferson "Bill" Clinton. He was in administration from 1993 until 2001. Clinton was the second president to be indicted, in an incident surrounding a White House employee, on allegations of obstructing justice. He was, however, absolved by the Senate and was responsible for completing his tenure. Before becoming president, Clinton served as governor of Arkansas.

Biography
Clinton was born in the little town of Hope, Arkansas, in the state of Arkansas on 19 August, 1946. His father, William Jefferson Blythe, died in a vehicle accident before he was born. In order to support him, his mother, Virginia Blythe, got a nursing degree in 1950. Later that year, she wed Roger Clinton. Clinton grew up going to a Baptist church and learning to play the saxophone. He went by the last name of his stepfather, Clinton, instead of Blythe. Virginia Clinton divorced Roger Clinton in 1962 because he developed an alcohol problem and became aggressive to her. Bill Clinton went to an all-white school that was partitioned. He performed as class president throughout his first two years at Georgetown.

Clinton's first term as president (1993-1997)
Bill Clinton joined the White House with a bold domestic programme focused on economic development. He got to work straight away on decreasing the national deficit. The Deficit Reduction Act of 1993 also referred as the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993, enhanced taxes on the top 1.2 percent of the population while lowering taxes on small companies and lower salary employees. In terms of healthcare policy, the Clinton administration was less efficient. President Bill Clinton signed the North American Free Trade into legislation on January 1, 1994, removing business and financial obstacles among the three nations i.e. the United States, Canada, and Mexico. While some have criticized NAFTA for displacing employment from the United States, the legislation's overall financial consequences has been incredibly positive, not just for the United States, but also for Canada and Mexico. The gross domestic product (GDP) of all three countries soared as a direct result of NAFTA, while commerce and business expanded, and numerous industries that were expected to shrivel instead profited as they had never profited before.

Clinton's second term as president (1997-2001)
Bill Clinton was convincingly re-elected in 1996, but his second entire presidency was marked by controversy and immorality. Clinton was indicted for the second time in US history when it was revealed that he committed perjury and the American public about his extramarital affair with White House employee Monica Lewinsky. Despite the fact that Clinton was prosecuted with official misconduct by the House of Representatives, the Senate vote, which was primarily along political lines, fell short of the two-thirds support necessary by the US Constitutional to dismiss him from administration. Clinton left the White House with the highest popularity rating of any post-World War II US presidency as a result of the controversies. After him, George W. Bush was elected as the President.
