Donald Trump was born on June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York, to parents Fred and Mary Anne Trump. He grew up with three older siblings named Maryanne, Fred Jr., and Elizabeth and a younger brother called Robert Trump. Trump attended the private Kew-Forest School from Kindergarten to seventh grade before enrolling to the New York Military Academy at age 13.
In 1964, he enrolled at Fordham University and later transferred to the Wharton School in the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with a B.S. in Economics.


Business

Following his father’s footsteps, Donald Trump started his real estate career in 1971 when he took over his dad's company and renamed it, The Trump Organization. He expanded the company’s profile to building and renovating skyscrapers, casinos, hotels, and golf courses all around the United States and the UAE.

Between 1996 and 2015, Trump owned the Miss Universe brand of beauty pageants, which he gave up later to focus on politics. He also hosted and co-produced a reality hit show, The Apprentice from 2004 to 2015. In the middle of all that, Donald Trump managed to write more than fourteen books, with The Art of the Deal being the most popular.

Political Career

To the surprise of many, Donald Trump announced his presidential candidacy on June 16, 2015. This was a shock because he had no affiliation to politics before that. On November 8, 2016, Trump got elected as the 45th president of the United States and was inaugurated on January 20, 2017.
His presidency focused on reforming the U.S. tax code, renegotiating trade agreements with neighbouring countries, expanding the military and improving their healthcare, and defeating the self-proclaimed Islamic State, ISIS. Unfortunately, he went down as the most disliked president in the history of the United States and the only president impeached two times.
Family

In 1977, Trump married Czech model Ivana Zelnickova and was blessed with three children- Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric. The two got divorced in 1992 following his affair with actress Marla Maples. Donald and Marla got married in 1993 and divorced in 1999. Together they had one daughter, Tiffany. In 2005, Trump married his current wife, Melania Trump, whom they have one son called Barron, born in 2006.

Trumps oldest sons and daughter work as executives for The Trump Organization, and they were left in charge when their father took over the presidency. However, his oldest daughter Ivanka left the business and her fashion label and joined her father as an assistant and adviser to the president together with her husband.
