When was Obama president

The 44th President of the United States was Barack Hussein Obama II. His is a classic American tale of core values, a solid family foundation, hard labor and knowledge as a means of advancement, and the conviction that a life so privileged should be dedicated in devotion to others.

Biography
He was born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to a Kenyan father and an American mother. He spent the most of his middle childhood years there. Punahou Academy was his home town, and he graduated with honors in 1979. Barack Obama Sr., Obama's father, died in an automobile accident in Kenya in 1982. Ann Dunham, his mother, died in 1995 from ovarian cancer. Obama studied from Columbia University in 1983 and Harvard University in 1991 with a law degree. Next year, on October 3, 1992, he married Robinson. Dreams from My Father, his autobiography, were released in 1995.
In 1997, he was nominated to the Illinois Senate, where he remained until 2004. In January 2003, he launched his candidacy for the United States Senate after a failed effort for a seat in the United States House of Representatives in 2000. Obama offered the keynote message at the Democratic National Convention in July 2004 after achieving a landslide primary success to become the Democrat candidate for U.S. Senate in March 2004. He was elected to the United States Senate in November 2004 with a majority of House Senate votes i.e. 70%.
In February 2007, he launched his campaign for President of the United States, beating Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary before beating John McCain in the 2008 presidential election. On January 20, 2009, he was proclaimed in as the first African-American president. In 2012, Obama ran for re-election and defeated Mitt Romney. On January 21, 2013, he was inducted in for his reelection campaign.

President Barack Obama's strategy
President Barack Obama announced missile attacks in Syria during a national speech on September 10, 2014. He said, in order to "degrade, and totally defeat" ISIS, the US will have a substantial presence of military trainers in Iraq. They provide support to Iraqi conventional troops as well as long-term disaster assistance to those who have been displaced by the terror group. Obama claimed that the US will help eradicate the organization with the support of a "wide coalition" and cooperation from the new Iraqi government. The national address came after extensive disagreement over the right method to deal with ISIS during the legislative vacation, another topic addressed in the speech, with Obama urging Congress to provide the government measures to assist Syrian opposition groups in their fight against ISIS in Syria.

Post-presidency
On January 20, 2017, Obama's administration came to an end with the inaugural ceremony of his replacement, Donald Trump. After leaving White House, Obama is living with his family in Kalorama, Washington, D.C. in a rented house. Obama received the Profile in Daring Award from the John F. KennedyPresidential Library and Museum on March 2, 2017, "for his ongoing dedication to democratic values and improving the bar of courage and conviction." On April 24, he made his first media appearance after leaving the white house, speaking at a lecture at the University of Chicago, where he urged a new generation to get involved in politics.
