Where is your God now?
Yesterday, I asked the question:
“If you could or would like to write a letter to the Lord, what would you write”
I received a number of nice and special responses and, as expected, there were also reports asking about all world problems.
I was reminded of the poem below.
Never again
I will never let go of this,
no one can take this away from me anymore.
They can still shout so much,
they can still claim so much.
It's impossible to describe in a few words,
but I know that I want to stay on this narrow road forever.
I will never let go of this,
that was for me very quickly, for sure.
I'm just drinking out of a cup!
easy? No,
it certainly isn't.
It's like the deer,
that is sung in a song.
In Psalm 42 we read from a doe,
that yearns for the streams of water.
My soul has come to You with the same desire.
And despite attackers shouting,
sometimes even with a lot of ridicule,
I remember their words: “Where is your God now”.
I know myself and I'm not going to mourn it any longer.
I will “simply” persevere and trust in You.
Acts 2:38 & 8:37
