Can I sit in one car with a friend, relative or colleague (i.e. with 2 persons total) if we are not roommates?
It is very unwise to sit in one car with a friend, neighbor or colleague. Because you are so close to each other, you are more likely to get the coronavirus and to spread it. Even if there's only two of you. The basic agreement is that we always keep 1.5 meters away if we do not belong to one household. You can't get a fine for it.

Can I sit in one car with three people if we're not roommates?
It is unwise and punishable to sit with 3 people (or more) in a car if you are not from the same family. This is because you can't keep a 5m distance from each other. It may result in a fine of 390 euros (or 95 if you are between 13-17). If you are 18 years of age or older, the penalty will also appear on your criminal record as a record.

If two people from one household (e.g. brother and sister) are in one car, can a friend ride?
No. Two roommates don't count for one person all of a sudden. If a friend gets into the car, these are still three people from different households. And so all three can be fined.
