Do you have one as a pet?
Some folks have erroneously believed pitbulls are very aggressive with hard to determine temperament.
This is for people who don't know this breed of dog too well. Pitbulls ain't as aggressive as you thought. They are not even aggressive rather pitbulls are exceptionally loving and emotionally dependent.
All you need is to know, is how these set of dog show affection. Yes! They are very affectionate because they always want to be with their owners or be by the side of their owners.

Why is my pitbulls clingy?
1. They are being grateful
Many pitbulls were all rescued from shelters. And they duly understand their situation. And had their owners never taken them in, they would have been so miserable. So they continually show appreciation and gratitude through affection and cuddling.
This sounds weird, isn't it?
Most pitbulls suffered cruelly in the past and were neglected. But since you care for them, all they could do is to be clingy towards you.
2. All purpose workers
Some years back, pitbulls served as all-purpose workers, working side by side with human being. Some worked as farm dog, guardian dog, hunting and service dog.
Their close working relationship with man made them develop such emotional attachment towards human beings.
3. The method of breeding
Do you know in the 1800's, pitbulls were engineered to fight with other dogs and scare away rats? Dog owners usually go into the ring to save their dogs without been bitten by pitbulls.
So pitbulls were less likely to bite than most others dogs because of the way they were bred.
4. Stress
Another reason your pitbull may be clingy is stress. Does your home seem comfortable to it? It could be that your pitbull is been bullied by some members of your family.
Other neighbors' dogs could be scaring your pitbulls away. Just like in man, when they feel stressed, the dogs seem to be withdrawn from people and tend to cling to you alone.
So be on the look out, to find out who and what is scaring your dog away.
5. Insecurity
Whenever pitbulls feel insecured or threatened, they become clingy to your body. Don't get it twisted.
Pitbulls are quite delicate that someone leaving your home, new pet entering your home or even a change in their feed could affect behavior. All these can cause your pitbulls to be clingy.
6. Age
As pitbulls advance in age they become more and more attached to you. It may sound weird but they constantly want to be sure you still love them just like you always did when they were younger.
You could seek a veterinarian advice on how best to handle the pitbulls at that stage of evolution and transition.
