Why Christmas Is Celebrated On 25 December?

As soon as we hear the name of #Christmas , the image of a white-bearded man in a red dress first comes to our mind, who has a big bag hanging on his shoulder and taking it out, he is giving gifts to all the children.

Many times we also think that all the #festivals are celebrated in our country, whether it is the followers of Hinduism or the followers of the Muslim religion, the dates of all are different every year, but Christmas is one such festival. Whose data is fixed is 25 December.

In fact, on the night of December 25, those who believe in Christianity, remember Jesus and celebrate his birthday. Let us tell you that the date of birth of Lord Jesus has not been given on 25 December nor is there any fixed date of his birth.

It is said that for more than 3 centuries, there was no fixed date for celebrating the birthday of Jesus. But in 350 AD, Pope Julius I celebrated the birthday of Lord Jesus on this date i.e. 25 December. In 529 AD, the Roman emperor Justinian formally declared December 25 as a public holiday to celebrate the birthday of Jesus.

Let us tell you that this Christmas festival goes on till Boxing Day i.e. 26 December. It is celebrated in the birthday room of Jesus Christ. The birthday of Jesus is very important for the people of Christianity because on this day God sent his son to earth. The followers of Christianity believe that on this day God sent his son to earth so that one day all the sins of the past, future, and present here can be sacrificed in his form.

Christmas day is a day to remember and worship Lord Jesus. On this day people sing carols in praise of the Lord. A day before this i.e. on 24th December people celebrate Easter Eve and after that, on 25th December they party at home and outside. The Christmas festival starts on 25 December and continues till 5 January. In Europe, it is celebrated for 12 days. Which is also known as Twelfth Night.

Although there is no relation between Santa and Lord Jesus, who distributes gifts to children on Christmas Day, no one knows about the origin of Santa Claus. However, people believe that Saint Nicholas is the real form of Santa. It is said that Santa Claus was born 100 years after the last Bible was written. That's why he is not mentioned in the Bible. Santa aka Saint Nicholas was born in 270 AD.

Let us tell you that the name Santa Claus was St. Nicholas. Which is called Santa Claus in the Dutch language. Saint Nicholas was a Greek bishop. He was very famous for his kindness among the people.

No one's sorrow was seen from him. That's why he used to give gifts to people by hiding at night. He felt at peace by giving gifts to children and the needy. Many stories of gold coins kept in shoes and socks related to them were heard then. That is why even today it is said that Santa Claus will come and leave with a gift in children's socks and shoes.
