Millions of Muslims are united in a religious ritual called salah in Arabic, which means prayer. They repeat this act at least five times a day. Each time, believers stand in front of the Holy Kaaba, which is situated in Makkah and offer the steps of salah as taught to them by their beloved Prophet Mohammed (P.B.U.H). 

 As the word shows, in Arabic, salah means connection. In fact, it is, infact, a connection between the person who is performing the prayer builds a strong connection. It is a belief in Muslims that a person offering prayers five times is very close to Allah. Offering prayers five times a day is crucial for every adult Muslim capable of physically and mentally.

The question arises in mind why Muslims offer prayers five times a day. These are the reasons behind this offering.

Offering Salaah is one of the five pillars of Islam. It's a religious duty for Muslims. And therefore, excessive emphasis is laid upon offering five prayers a day. Performing it. In The Holy Qur’an, which is the religious book of Muslims, they are instructed to offer the prayer, and for those who don't obey it, there is punishment in the world hereafter 

 In this verse of the Holy Quran, the great emphasis is laid on offering prayers from morning tonight. Then the prophet of Muslims Muhammad (P.B.U.H). also explained the importance of prayers in different hadiths(the sayings of the prophet).

 The daily prayers are thought to be a gesture to show thankfulness to Allah, and also, it is considered an opportunity to have communion with Allah. In Quran, the holy book of Muslims, it is stated as the way of remembering Allah, and Allah loves this gesture of Muslims according to the believers of Islam. Some people may think it’s a burden on Muslims to offer prayers five times a day, but Muslims are educated to love Allah. Hence, these prayers are not a burden on them; somewhat, this is something that Muslims look ahead to doing.
