Why does the Oosterschelde barrier have to go?
Demolish or bury? Seventy years after the 1953 Flood Disaster, the Oosterschelde Barrier is (again) under discussion: the shelf life of the most famous part of the Delta Works is much shorter than we had hoped. Because scientists are seriously taking into account that the sea level rises beyond the forty centimeters that the barrier can withstand.
