Windmill crafting with paper cup
Mills have been around for hundreds of years. In the Netherlands there were windmills 800 years ago. When the steam engine was invented, many mills were demolished and were no longer serviced. Too bad, huh?
There are different types of mills: middle porters, lower porters and upper porters. And the mills were used for all kinds of things. Not only are there cornmills and paper mills, but also spice mills, paint mills (flax seed grinding into oil for paint), malt mill (for beer), chalk mills, powder mills (for gunpowder), etc.

You want to tinker a mill? Then you can see below how easy you can make these mill yourself. All you need is 1 paper cup, white sturdy paper (thin cardboard) for the wicks (2 pieces of 3.5 x 14 cm), 1 split pen, pin, scissors, a waterproof fineliner (e.g. Faber Castell) and 3 colors Creall Silky wax crayons. And oh, with a brush and a few drops of water, you can go over the wax crayon so it's awatercolor lookgets!
